We opted for a boat trip round the Northern Isles followed by a landing on Tresco. The boat trip worked well, despite a heavy shower, with lots of puffins on the water and lots of seals. Although it was lunchtime by the time we reached Tresco, we decided to get up to the North of the island where the moors and ruined castle were. This was a lovely walk. After tea and cake at the Ruin Beach cafe we had a briskish walk past a ruined blockhouse on a cliff and some beautiful white beaches to catch the last boat back to St Mary's.
