We had a week walking in Madeira in April 2017. We were unfortunate with the weather so did not do all the walks as planned. We had a couple of Levada walks including a walk to the Caldeirâo Verde. This was a bit scary, especially as the path was wet. On the last day we did manage to get to the top of Pico Ruivo and Pico do Ariero but sadly the views were often hidden by cloud.
